Stone Ocean
I reach my hand out towards you
Knowing you're lightyears away.
Like a statue I stand there still
Without any sign of life.
The Sun draws a C-curve in the sky
By running from one end to the other.
Amusing himself as if he's teasing a cat with laser pointer.
He lights up my face from different directions
Giving me a false sense of movement.
Tears slowly contour my face like a painter
But there's no colour or harmony.
Maybe someday the wells in my eyes will dry
When I turn to stone completely.
Maybe moss will cover my face
To hide the expressions,
To save me from pity of the stars.
Maybe the arm will finally break
After years of being a landing pad for the birds of prey.
Or maybe the Sea will come
And hide me forever
In a sarcophagus wrapped in seaweed.
I'd love to hear some critique. Be merciless.
