Thank youuu :)
Glad to hear an honest opinion bout it. I'm not into poetry actually and my English is not that good either. I listen to raps so maybe that's why I try to fill the gap with unnecessary words like "it means" or anything. But lately I've been reading many poetries so I'm trying to write some. Thanks for pointing out all the flaws and I'm sure there are many more flaws too. The "afterlife" line wasn't that good for me either but when I showed it to my friends they complimented and praised that specific line so I thought it's not that blunt or something. But I shouldn't have forget that my friend circle is full of atheists. xD

You're right that it might hurt others belief. I didn't think bout it earlier haha
Thank you again!

This poem was a good reminder for me. A bit timely too. I think it's a good poem to write, because the message behind it is so easily forgotten, or not held onto. Outcomes are often sought after, as opposed to just living in the moment, riding that journey.

I think "It means" on the second line was redundant for me. In my view, could be more effective/succinct to just continue with "We're traveling" and launch into the rest of the poem from there.

Also, the line that says "there's no afterlife" seemed really blunt. And that's coming from me, an atheist/agnostic. I guess it depends on who your audience is. If you just wrote this poem for yourself, then by all means that's all you need to say. But if the audience is more general, then maybe your entire poem falls out of taste/seems less open-minded since it doesn't encompass a belief of an after life? Also, maybe the after life isn't really relevant to the journey of life, because life is over at the point of death, and whatever comes

Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. This is great!!! I like how "life" is showed as a trip. And the memories are roads which is always there even after we pass by. And our family and relatives are also the part of our trip.
And this line -

*some we meet accidentally and some are in our destiny. While some are with us from the start*

That touched my heart! That's true about life. And also true in case of a journey or trip. We meet some new people and give them lift with us and that's how we make friends! I got the meaning i guess.

Keep up the good work :)
