Ok ! Thanks for the information ! :-)

Oh they might need a brooks, good catch. I always forget since I just leave mine plugged in. The 8bitdo ones are Bluetooth and directly compatible with PS4, and I believe PS5. There's also the 8bitdo pro controllers which I haven't personally tried but a lot of folks swear by them

Ok ! but can you use bit Saturn USB controllers directly on PS4 / PS5 or do you need to use adapter (like from Brooks ??)

I really like the retro bit Saturn USB controllers. They can get a little squeaky after a hundred hours or so but they're cheap and reliable. 8bitdo m30 is also great and has better build quality

Hi shmupers !
I'm trying to find a controller with a real D PAD , for the PS4 in order to play my PS4 shmups on my PS5.
I'm always had difficulties with Sony's D pad since I started to play with a real cross from Nintendo.
\- I saw the Razer Raion from raizer, with a micro switch D pad. I know that this controller is specialized for fighting games but as anyone tried to use it with shmups ?
\- Razer Raiju and Raiju Ultimate are using the same D pad as Sony's controller... so no go for me...
\- Nacon pro controller 2 has not a "real" D pad.....
\- Nacon Asymetric use Bluetooth ... I don't want to have more input lag...
\- Hori Onyx or Onyx + seem to have bad reputation on amazon...

Do you have any suggestions for a good wired controller equipped with a good D PAD ?

(PS5 / PS4) searching for a good D pad controller ... advice ??
