The last 3 lines are sooo powerful! You managed to create something very raw and impactful with so few words! My only tiny complaint is that "often comparing herself to a rainy day" kind of breaks the flow for me. I think a more wild and darker image would suit this part, but that's perhaphs because I just tend to associate rainy days with soothing weather and lazy times.

Otherwise, very, very well written!

Having read this poem,I would only point out a couple of considerations. First, the effect of " not me" may work but it is redundant. The second is I enjoyed the " rainy day " comparison much more than the " stronger, heavier, manic". Lastly , I'm ambivalent over the " funny". It's a quick fix in that it works in a casual " I don't know what to do about it" way, if that was the intention. But if the intention is true worry, I think it a light comment. I would have enjoyed more images in the poem as the one was striking, but then again, images overdone detracts from a good one.

Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, which can be problematic for those who have trouble seeing themselves clearly. Great work! This piece speaks to the most basic desire of understanding that trademarks humanity

Your poem reminds me of Jekyll and Hyde particularly the musical. There’s a number where Jekyll says though Hyde is evil, Jekyll admires Hyde’s love of life. “How wonderful his love of life”. 

I feel your poem is a Ballad. Ballads tell a story. A person taken over. Well done.

i haven’t been myself

recently.

it feels like someone—

not me—

has taken over my body.

she's stronger, heavier, and 

manic. 

often comparing

herself to a rainy day.
