Lord, let me show him all my secrets and the many facets of my heart Let me sing him songs of poetry, and make every moment with him into art Let my love for him be limitless like the deep, dark blue of the evening sky Let me bring him familiarity every time that I look into his eyes

Lord, let me save him like you’ve saved me time and time again My hand outstretched to rescue him from unknown enemies, and then Let me be the first one to greet him when he walks through the front door Let me be the angel that held him yesterday, today, and forevermore

Lord, let me be the death of his pain and birth of his bliss Let me anoint him in adoration, the holiest of love, and happiness Let me stand beside him on the perimeter of heaven, let me give him something to believe Let me show him the beauty of angels and miracles, to have something greater to perceive
