As Lana del Rey said "To be young and in love.." the descriptions of activities and places are very visual. It feels like I'm there. The entire poem feels like it's a collection of scenes from a rom-com. I love the last line where they're concentrating on driving while the speaker is capturing a candid picture in their mind; one only the speaker knows what it looks like.

Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our [feedback guide](https://new.reddit.com/r/ocpoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques), or look

Well, honestly, it means everything to me. As for the landscapes, I immediately describe them. "The mountains meeting the sea".
This is a story about my wife and I having fun on my birthday. And although the day was about me, it ultimately was about her because of how beautiful, kind and thoughtful she is. That's the portrait.

Having read this poem,I would comment on two minor points. The first being well into the poem, the " beautiful landscspes" , my suggestion would be to pick one. You've been descriptive down to eating a sandwich before this ( although the girl isn't included until later) and now you become vague. The other point is the long lines at the end that appear to be extended beyond necessity. The poem appears autobiographical which would put it in the past, so anything of it now, what does it mean to you now , that portrait.

I Guess I'll Name This Portrait
