Silence

It's way too steep to reach for balance

And when I fall I hope for sirens

A setting sun before the solstice

Beneath the stars a burning silence

The spinning thoughts never enlighten

My sense of self, my wish for guidance

A small pushback feels oh so violent

Carving my skin to mark the moment

The eyes outside that never open

You're all alone in the defiance

Waves on my cheeks I let them soak in

To numb the pain I read the omens

Black hole sucking the supergiants

There is no hope only compliance

Anything goes to feel alive and

When god has failed you turn to science

I chose myself the best opponent

The one whose thoughts alone are potent

I wished for years she would keep quiet

But now I revel in her riot

It's understandable I'm private

Heard what happened to Ariadne ?
