Waiting to Come Alive
I rest here,
In the darkness of my disbelief,
Feels like all the feathers,
Have been plucked from my wings,
Surely, there's no time for sorrow,
Frozen in ice,
My hands forget their strength,
And inside is like the weather,
So I no longer feel its' sting,
Surely, the Sun will come tomorrow,
I dream of days,
Where I'm not bound by the seasons,
My reasons belong to me,
And you can't pull me to and fro,
Fate permitting, I'd love to take the chance,
The twilight haze,
Drifts its way through everyone,
But this is how it's meant to be,
Happens time and again,
Fate permitting, save me the last dance.
