How did Genghis Khan die?

Months ago I noticed that the Wikipedia page for the Tomb of Genghis Khan stated that "he was struck by an arrow to the knee" which proved fatal. It still says this. I am no expert in Mongolian history, but I'm fairly certain Temujin was not laid low by an internet meme.
