Sunshine the film is beautiful until the ending. But then I thought, is the killer right?
I love Sunshine, a movie by Danny Boyle who's directing the opening ceremonies to the Olympic games... fingers crossed they won't suck. The whole (first 2/3) of the film are about humanity reigniting the sun to allow us to continue existing (not scientifically sound but still an interesting concept). In the end a guy comes along and tries to stop them and it ruins the whole philosophical feel of them film as it leads to a thriller chase. Watch it and you'll understand. What I'm asking is, if the sun were dying and we weren't yet equipped for interstellar travel would we be worth saving? Would our attempts at surviving (which are stunningly beautiful when directed by Boyle) be all for nought?
