Little help please? Server list doesn't work until I join a random server.

When I first boot, then double click on a server that's in my history tab, TF2 acts like that server isn't responding.

Then I go to the INTERNET tab, then click back to HISTORY tab and nothing is in there.

So, I have to join a random internet server, then after I get into the game, I am able to access my history tab.

Can someone help me with this issue?

thanks in avance
