If I am constantly supporting products/ideas/trends, only to find that they become extremely popular a few months down the line, what professions might I consider to put this to work?

Ive looked into being a professional hipster, but I dont think it pays very well. Are there ways that I can put my trendsetting into action? I was never paying attention during career building meetings in HS, and have a very narrow view of what is out there in the world of careers.
