Looking for some advice on a fantasy race I'm creating...

So, I think I may have written myself into a corner here. I am trying to create a race of creatures that are basically strong, powerful, hunters that are humanoid (two legs, two arms each of which has hands with opposable thumbs, one head but they also have a long tail). My idea for them is that they are strong, fast, psionic (mainly telekinesis but they can also generate beams of energy with their minds) hunters and I based my idea of their social interactions on the panther. Meaning that a single male controls a 30 mile territory inside which 3-6 females have smaller territories. Generally when males interact it's to fight over borders.

That's my thought for their instincts. However, the hallmark of civilization is the ability to overcome instincts for the betterment of society. That's where I am stuck. I'm not sure what kind of society that would result in. These creatures are meant to be very smart. If we were using the IQ scale and human average is 100, they would have an average of 140. Does anyone have any ideas or advice? Just what kind of civilization would result from these guys?
