My GF (20/f) of one year went full retard and punched me [23/m] in the face for the 3rd time so i dumped her for the last time. Rational or overly dramatic?

I love her, shes beautiful, sweet and fun. Definitively out of my league and has serious coping and security issues. The problem is half my life was spent dealing with unbalanced abusive morons so when i see her flip out I lose so much respect that it takes me weeks to want to see her face again. Also punching and screaming is really white trash and im embarrassed to be involved with it. The catch is that she is really cute and fun and most likely the best thing ill ever have, but her flaw is pretty fucking bad. Anyone dealt with this situation before?
