Privacy about CCW

So I recently got my CPL and Glock (Super stoked about it). Anyway, this just came up and wasn't sure how I felt about it: My dad was talking to one of his buddies about me getting a gun recently and I guess he mentioned I got my CPL. Anyway, I told him that it isn't exactly kosher to talk to people about somebody else's CPL. My mom already got that talk when she asked when buying my gun if she was allowed to post stuff about my carrying and gun or whatnot (she just got on facebook so she posts about everything now), but I was wondering what your opinions are on it.

What's your privacy level about having a CCW? Do you tell friends, or mind if they tell others?
