Just picked up the first four books but I'm having trouble getting through A Game of Thrones...

My problem is I know mostly what's going to happen. I flew through the first half, and now I'm stuck. Trying to force myself to read a chapter a day so I can get through it. If it was new content I wouldn't have this issue. but it's like I get a few pieces here and there of new info. and the rest is like watching a re-run. Don't get me wrong it's good, but I find myself thinking 'This next chapter is going to be kind of boring, because it was an uneventful part on TV'. I flip half way through, and then realize what I could be missing, and flip back and read. I'm hoping I'll be able to go at my original pace again soon. Just wondering if anyone is having the same problems as me?
