This is the machine that I've put together on PartPicker. here is the description of what I've looking for. Due to some financial rearranging, I may be able to get the money and start building by the end of the month, so wanted to get an idea for what parts I'm looking for.
I've got a few major questions:
-
I've never looked much into motherboards, cases, or power supplies before, so any help there would be very welcome. For these parts I pretty much sorted by rating and looked for the best rating with the lowest price (or in the case of the psu, the largest output with the lowest price)
-
I would like to try and get this below $1000 if possible, but this prices should work for me. If dropping the price would be a significant drop in power, I'd rather have the power.
-
I can't afford 2 monitors now, but as soon as possible I'd like to multi-monitor. I don't really need more than 2, and use it more for the extra space than extreme gaming
-
I don't plan on overclocking now, but it is a very good probability I will in the future.
Any comments and help will be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Updated the build a bit. Dropped down to a 750W PSU, upgraded graphics card to the 7850, traded SSD for one a little bit cheaper, changed brand of RAM (suggested by a friend, close in price but better performance according to him). I may have found somewhere to get Win 7 for cheaper, but I'll keep the newegg listing for now.
