Reddit, what great movie has completely ruined something for you? Or just movie in general.

When I was about 11 my moms boyfriend showed us the movie The Poltergeist, it was an awesome movie, but it scared the shit out of me. Four years later I'm still scared when it comes to opening closets and I can't really bring myself to open them. Typically, they always stay open. Unless, it's just full of shelves.
