*It* speaks to me in a silent voice

--In exactly one year, I am going to die. I'm going to drown to death, and in my last moment of clarity and consciousness I will panic--

...

6/8/2012; Midnight. I dragged myself across the cold kitchen floor, crying, pleading, and cursing. It only laughed. My legs felt heavy and useless. I really started to panic as the tears welled up in my eyes, it loves tears. Quickly, I pinched my eyes shut and tried to hold them inside. Too late, it grew larger and more menacing by the second. "Don't open your eyes, dammit! dammit! dammit!", I tried to regain control of my thoughts but it was useless. The dark and slender figure reached out for me, I didn't have to see it, I could feel it. Now I had really lost control. It was in my head, all that was left to do was submit. The last whimper died on my lips as it spoke to me in a silent voice. In that instant Death made many things known to me:

...

In exactly one year, I am going to die. I'm going to drown to death, and in my last moment of clarity and consciousness I will panic. 6/8/2013; Midnight. I try to claw my way to the surface but the water is relentless, it will only crush and punish me. As I open my mouth to gasp for air the water fills up inside and leaks into my lungs. Then I'm really going to lose it. My last second on earth will be spent in the greatest and purest fear known to man. I can't see anything, the water swirls and dances in front of my eyes as I resign myself to death. Wait, a darkness moves slowly into my field of vision. It hovers just above the surface, watching me slip into oblivion. My heart leaps and again I struggle but every movement, every thought, exhausts me. My life drains slowly and this time I can't hold on. My energy and being are consumed by the uncaring water, I can almost feel my life force dispersing around me. I want to reach for it and stuff it back inside. I want to put myself back together, bit by bit. But it reaches into the water now and I'm no longer aware of anything. Now, the water is as cold as ice. Death is like the hottest day in July, smothered by the heat of life we all yearn for it's chill.

...

7/8/2012 ; Midnight. It visited me again today, and told me there was nothing left to fear. Together, we speak of many marvelous things. But, I can't decide...is this a cruelty or a gift? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to know the exact hour of your death. Not just when, but also how you would die and what it would feel like?
