My Samsung Galaxy Nexus is having issues with the charging port...

I can only get it to charge with the cable propped at a certain angle, which also happens to be the angle it sits at when it's charging at my desk, but if I pick it up it will almost instantly cease charging. ..

My only worry is that it may escalate and advance past charging on my desk even. Now that a judge (forget the assholes name) decided to not allow the sale of any more in the U.S. how will that impact me if I were to go to Verizon to look for a refurb or replacement?

Will I be turned away/forced onto another handset/etc?
