has anyone else had a hard time 'fitting in' at church?

I'm in my 30's, without a husband or kids... and a lot of times at church I feel like there is no place for me, other than just being a 'face in the crowd' to pass the offering plate and say hello to 5 new strangers. I am somewhat disenchanted with 'mega churches' too... I want to learn about the Bible and worship God, not be entertained for 2 hours and walk out feeling empty. Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you find a way to 'fit in' at church?
