[suggestion] Peaceful mode changes
I'm a big peaceful fan, and usually play on peaceful mode in survival. However, it feels like there is no challenge. And also, many items are missing, like bones, gunpowder, ender pearls (which you need to get to the end), etc. Here are my ideas on how to make peaceful better.
- Hunger
I figured that hunger could easily be added to peaceful to bring a bit of challenge. But the time it takes to become hungry should be reduced a bit. An alternative is to make it so that hearts only come back after eating food, like in older versions of Minecraft.
- Missing items
A) Bones So that peaceful players can get bone meal and tame wolves, I think a fossil ore should be added. I would only spawn below 40 blocks, and be about as common as lapis lazuli (did I spell it right?). It would drop 2-4 bones, usually 2.
B) Gunpowder
For gunpowder, another new ore could be added: sulfur ore. It would drop 1-2 gunpowder, and be found below 50 blocks. It would be somewhat rare, but would solve that problem.
C) Ender Pearls
When 1.3 comes out, I think it should have a uncommon-rare trade of 3-5 emeralds for 1-2 ender pearls or ender eyes.
D) Blaze Rods
I think the best way to solve this one is to add a nether ore; blaze ore. It would drop blaze gems, would could be used to craft blaze tools. It would also be used to craft blaze rods the same way you make a stick from wooden planks. It would be uncommon, but easy to tell apart from netherrack.
(String can be found in abandoned mineshafts by destroying cobwebs, so they can already be found in peaceful and rotten flesh will be found in desert temples)
I was also going to suggest more ways to get XP, but luckily that's coming in 1.3. Thanks for reading, and let me know if I missed any items, or if there is anything you'd like to add!
Edit: forgot that you have to double space every time...
