A proposition to make stats other than your main stat and vitality useful and appealing.

Idea

I'm proposing a simple change to make Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence useful regardless of your character class.

Just ask yourself: Shouldn't a monk with 1000 strength be more powerful than one with 100? Why is a Barbarian with tons of dexterity not a faster fighter? Why isn't an extremely intelligent Demon Hunter not a more effective killer?

My idea is to give each stat a very small offensive component.

100 Strength = +.5% Total Damage

100 Dexterity = +.5% Increased Attack Speed

100 Intelligence = +.5% Critical Chance

(NOTE: I'm not sure about the exact numbers -- I'll let someone with some spreadsheets do the balancing)

With this change stats other than your main stat and vitality wouldn't be viewed as essentially wasted modifiers on items. It also seems to just make more sense to me. A character's strength, dexterity, and intelligence shouldn't just make them harder to kill -- it should make them a more hardened killer.

Just a thought.
