Not sure what to make of this, frustrated.
(21M) here. So I have a long time friend that I met early in high school (21F), talked often in high school and we were pretty good friends. When college rolled around, she moved out of town to attend a different college and we eventually reached the point where we didn't keep in regular contact.
I run into her occasionally downtown when I go out to the bars (mostly during the summer months, once in a while if she's down for a visit) and despite not having been in regular contact, things are always good and we talk for a bit and catch up. Now sometime recently I ran into her, we talked, and we ended up making out at the end of the night. She had previously mentioned hanging out, so soon after I took her up on the offer.
Initially, she was very eager to hang out and we did hang out a couple of times and everything went great. After the 2nd time, she started to blow me off and clearly does not want to hang out anymore (she was the one who initially suggested we should). Now I have told her since she's been "busy" to just let me know when she's up for doing something and we'll figure a day out; I've since stopped texting her and figure if she's interested she'll let me know because I don't want to continue pestering her.
It's clear that she no longer wants to hang out/do anything that would suggest we're more than friends, but I don't understand why. She was the one who initially showed interest and now it's like she has none. It's very disheartening to me that she seemed to be interested at first and now without any (apparent) indication as to why, I'm getting blown off. I can't help but feel I screwed up somewhere along the lines.
TL;DR: Long time friend shows some interest, things go well. Get blown off soon after without indication as to why.
I want to ask her what the deal is, but I know it'd ruin our friendship/make things awkward. What should I do Reddit?
