Anyone here work in foster care? My friend's parent want to ship him off to there.

The kid's fifteen (almost sixteen) and their parents have filed to put him into foster care. He's gotten caught being sexually active, and does not handle dealing with his alcoholic parents well (lots of arguing over stupid things.) Their dad, who wants to send said kid into foster care, is involved in many illegal affairs and has told his kid that he does not care about him, and only cares for him to increase his image. I was there when he said it. Basically, I want to know how plausible it is for this kid to get sent into foster care given the situation. He really isn't that bad of a kid (he helps around the house, generally stays out of trouble too, but does have an attitude.) but his parents are pretty devious when it comes to this sort of thing and are extremely manipulative.
