Should I get jersey now or later?

i really want a matt read or a sean couturier jersey, but im afraid homer might trade one of them when i buy their jersey. do u think he will or am i just being paranoid? EDIT: im planning on getting a jersey for my bday(august 19) should sean or matt be a safe bet if theyre still on the team then?
