The curious piano incident.

This story was told to me by a friend in high school about an explainable event concerning his older sister. Upon his face while telling me the events was an expression of utter conviction and I have no doubts that what he told me was an accurate recount of what transpired.

My friends father, had purchased an antique piano, which stood out in stark contrast to the rest of the modern interior of the house. Coming from a musically focused school, many students actively played an instrument, including my friends older sister who would practice on this antique piano. One evening as the father watched television upstairs he was interrupted by loud banging and screaming. The mellow sounds of a flowing progression of notes had become random, harsh and incoherent. The father immediately rushed down the stairs to see what was wrong.

Upon entering into the room in the lower floor the father witnessed his daughter as white as a ghost, banging her hands violently on the piano keys. She was screaming and crying all the while her eyes were and unblinking, fixed directly in-front of her. The banging of her hands was so violent that by the time she was removed from the piano seat her hands were bloody and bruised. She remained unresponsive. The doctor some hours later said she had damaged three of her fingers and was in shock.

The next day while shaken up and sore, she elaborated as to what had happened. She described playing the piano for some time before she noticed a feeling of being watched. Suddenly in her peripheral vision she described seeing a silhouette that took the shape of a hunched man. It lingered there, in the side of her vision for a second or two, she was too scared to look directly at it. Suddenly it rushed towards her side silently as though advancing towards her temple. That is all she remembered. The dad got rid of the piano that day.
