Peugeot Derailleur help or: how I killed my bike
Rear derailleur was caught in rear wheel and bent. Took the whole frame to a bike for a new derailleur; they sold me something that doesn't fit, so I tried bending the old one straight to no avail.
This bike is everything to me. I don't own a car.
Pictures: http://imgur.com/a/h2Vkg It's a Sachs Huret brand Derailleur that screws directly into the frame. The new one won't fit because the threaded hole on the derailleur lines up with the bicycle frame which prevents the entrance of the screw. The old derailleur bolt appears to be 9mm.
I've found information about this problem on forums, but the advice given is: wait for an identical one to show up on ebay, or machine a mount to put the new derailleur on. Was wondering what this subreddit's advice would be.
Help, please.
