Frequency of use
Does anyone else notice that the more you use in a day, the less enjoyable the whole experience of getting high becomes?
It used to be that when I got high, it was one time for that day and that was it. Either I had some money, I had to search around for someone who could get me pills, I used the pills and then I enjoyed the high, and eventually went to bed. some days it took great effort just to scrounge up enough money to get a single pill, or it would take hours of searching or waiting for someone I could pick up from.
What I've noticed is that as I've gotten more money or more drugs, and I'm able to use multiple times a day, I typically won't enjoy it as much as I would if it was a once a day treat. On days like this, where I already have my drugs, I will usually wake up, do a shot, go about my day for a few hours until I realize that I'm either not high or not as high as I would like to be, and I redose. what came to light is that while obviously each subsequent redose is less and less pleasurable, but after a while even my morning shots became much less exciting. getting high no longer packed that punch that it did when I was using once a day. Even when I am sober and going into withdrawal, that first dose just doesn't quite feel right
And I know what you are thinking, "LOL DUH BRO IT'S CALLED TOLERANCE YOU FUCKWIT", but I am not strictly speaking about the power of the drugs here, there is something else, something deeper that is amiss. It's as if the warm blanket that opiates throw around my arms has grown thinner and thinner, even if I am so high that I am nodding for hours.
I fear that my drugs may be losing their spark, and that frightens me.
