I wasn't raised to believe in any religion. Were most of you raised to believe in God or in any sort of religion?

My parents were raised Catholic. But my father soon after he came to the U.S., saw how hypocritical and corrupt the religion was, and we never went to church or were taught about any sort of god after that. His idea was "Be good, be nice, and give back to those you are less fortune". How were you raised in regards to beliefs?
