Found a camera by the waterfront.
Girlfriend and I were walking by the waterfront earlier this evening -we're tourists from Canada - and found a digital camera. I don't remember the number of the pier we were at, but the camera we found was on a picnic table behind a strange looking fountain by the water. (+/- pier 58 ??)
I know I could have just left it there as it was, but ended deciding I could identify its owner on the interwebs.
After a quick scan of the pictures it holds I guess we could assume that it belongs to someone living in the state as there is a picture of car with a WA license plate (the car is covered with snow, as if to show the snow itself) and the other pictures depict a very north-western environment.
Other pictures include a bunch of family photos and many pictures of a little girl who celebrated her first birthday recently.
What should I do? Should I give the camera to the Seattle police? Is there a way to "track" a license plate number? Should I post a couple of harmless pictures on Imgur to help identify a member of this family?
It's up to you guys, tell me what's the best way to handle this situation!
edit : pardon the average english
