Breaking Bad and Weeds.

Everyone is talking about these shows, and a friend recommended them. are they any good, and what's the gist of the show?

EDIT: Thank you for the information, but another snag i have is WHERE to watch it. Is there a site i can go to?

EDIT: Thank you all for the sites, and the input, i have started to watch breaking bad, and love it so far. i haven't started on Weeds yet, but will soon.
