Which skill to max first on Ezreal?

The solomid guides I've been reading all recommend Q. Isn't W superior to it?

• goes through minions (easier poking)
• slows attack speed of other champ
• goes through multiple targets
• buffs attack speed of friendlies

Granted that I grab 1 pt in Q early for last hitting purposes.
