Simply question about SDL

Hi, this a really stupid question but I'm running Ubuntu and installed SDL using the "apt-get" command. So I have SDL installed, but I can't seem to find the SDL.dll file anywhere. I know this is a stupid question, but if I could get a simple response I would be extatic. Thanks.
