Good board for my first drop-thru?

Thinking of getting a Palisades longboard for my birthday. I've been looking for a nice drop-thru, true twin board that'll be better for sliding than my current cruiser. My local skate shop just got this new company called Palisade and I'm looking at the Lunada Drop. Anyone ever hear/know much about the board or company?
