First Swiss Auto -Oris BCSSPD - & First Submission
Never really been a watch wearer because I basically don't like cheap watches or quartz movements, but I've been lurking here for a while and finally felt confortable spending more than $500 and being happy with it.
I present the Oris Big Crown Small Second, Pointer Day
It has a pretty basic ETA movement with one complication (the pointer day). It's been on my wrist for a little over a week, and I've been happy with it so far. At 44mm it is the largest size I would want on my wrist, but the saying is true: black faces wear smaller.
I didn't really go looking for an Oris, but just really found this watch to be not too busy, practical, and versatile enough that I can wear it with casual clothes or work situations. At ~$1,100 I think that it was a pretty good deal, and actually at the lower end of the price range that I had in mind. Also I like how the pointer day makes it a bit unique while being subtle at the same time.
After looking at their catalogue, I haven't been really impressed by anything else except for the black on black BC4 Chronograph. So r/watches, how'd I do? Did I find a rare gem in the lineup, or should I have avoided Oris all together?
