The latest Appreciate Your Mind podcast is up, taking a weekly look at the world with clear atheist eyes.

In this week's program I talk about some of the bizarre religious responses to the CERN discovery of a Higgs-like boson particle; various news concerning continuing attacks on the LGBT community from the Religious Right; how the Texas GOP is officially against the teaching of critical thinking skills and in favor of support for Israel based on "God's biblical promise" to bless those who do; the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan; the concerted attempt by Scientology to silence all online public criticisms; and more! I feature music from Queensryche, Gogol Bordello and Bryan Steeksma.

I broadcast from Radio CPR, 97.5 FM in Washington, DC, a commercial-free community station that likes for people to use "DJ names" so I am M.J. Adams on the air. Join me on my Facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/AppreciateYourMind

***Very personal note: Friends of a wonderful couple I know have started a ChipIn account as a fundraiser to help pay very high ongoing medical expenses. I have never posted anything like this before, so I apologize if this seems inappropriate to anyone.
