My spawn and I are headed to Mayhem tomorrow! It's our own Hellish little mid-summer's holiday.

My 18 year old has gone with me for the last 4 years. One of the local bands that gets to open is made up of some of his buddies. This is my younger kid's first festival, and he's too twitchy to sleep. He's been a roadie for his brother for local venues, but he's never seen anything like he's gonna see tomorrow. It's like his Blood Mitzvah. "Today you are a dirty young man!" As a kid, I had to sneak out to my first show. Any of you come from metal families?
