I'm on the fence with the NBA. I feel like it's turned into a big market circlejerk.
I'm a Spurs fan, let me start off by saying that. We're one of the few small markets that can compete with the bigger markets. That being said, I'm not so sure this is the league for me.
To put it into very simple terms, I think that it's bullshit that Stern is letting this league turn into superstar teams and nobodies.
I don't understand how in one league the Heat wind up with the four headed monster they have now and then a team like the Bucks, I can't name a single player. There's absolutely no parity.
I guess you could blame some of that on the owners, but even in the NFL, ever team has a decent chance of winning it all. It's either the hard salary cap that makes everyone equal in some sense, or the fact that there's 22 starters.
I'm quickly growing tired of seeing teams like Orlando commit suicide so that the Nets can load up and be one of the big guys next year. It's sickening and I'm tired of it.
Los Angeles (x2) New York (x2) Boston Chicago Miami
San Antonio Oklahoma City
That's it.
