Double-check this Breton quotation for me?
I was poking around the internet and came across an English translation of a quotation from Breton:
Imagination is not a gift but an object of conquest par excellence
The original quotation proved obscure, but I did, in the end, manage to find this:
L'imagination n'est pas don mais par excellence objet de conquête
which has been quoted in several (3-4 places on the internet). However, it seems a bit strange to me, especially the placement of "par excellence" and that there is no "un" before the "don". I presume this is because of my less-than-perfect French, but I would be very appreciative if someone with a firmer grasp of French could confirm that the quotation is indeed accurate and put my mind at ease.
Thanks in advance!
