3 weeks in, my observations thus far
This 'reboot' is much easier than all my previous attempts at it. In fact, this is the longest I've ever gone, and I started and restarted since November.
Here's what works for me:
- Reading http://www.reuniting.info/download/pdf/0.BENEFITS.pdf makes it MUCH easier to stay motivated
- Reading NoFap posts are VERY helpful in keeping me focused
- Staying outside is almost necessary as it is another way to avoid falling back into porn
- Porn blockers like K9 help (though aren't necessary). I don't personally use it, but I did do this: http://redd.it/w8t2w
- Edging was the reason I kept screwing up in the past. I no longer do it.
Other observations:
-
I seem to appreciate women more than before. I am still attracted to sexy women, but I see them less as sex objects and more as real people. Don't get me wrong, women look fantastic when they look sexy, but I am able to appreciate them more than before. It's subtle, but very real to me.
-
I still have some issues around women. I suppose it's a type of mild social anxiety. This hasn't changed (yet!) but I am actively working on it.
-
I am more productive than before, and I enjoy work much more than before. It doesn't feel like a chore, but perhaps this is due to a lot of self-improvement I've done in the past. I often shift my perspective to find the benefits of my circumstances that I may not like.
