E4GT Screen Repair

Pandora's white buttons got burned into my screen. On top of that I just got a bunch of tiny light scratches. I know I can't repair the burn in, but is there a compound or DIY way to buff the scratches out like you would on a car? Or will sprint replace just the screen for a fee? I don't really want a new phone as mines already rooted on ICS. It'll be a long time till I get a new phone and both elements will drive me crazy.
