1999 Audi A4 1.8T; Exhaust separated near front of the car.

Hey everyone. I know what the problem is here, I am just curious what I need to do to fix it.

My exhaust pipe has become disconnected about mid-forward on the car; about where the dashboard is. It hasn't dropped or anything, the two pipes are the same height, just about half an inch apart and two inches skewed to the side.

Obviously this is causing a pretty loud noise. I sound like a souped up boyracer WRX.

It is dark out and I couldn't lift the car, but from what I can tell the pipe isn't sheared. There is a visible joint on one pipe (it looks like they slide into eachother) and it seems that they just slid apart. I will post pictures first thing tomorrow.

Is this a simple fix? I am not very experienced with mechanics and have limited tools. Should this be as easy as mating the pipes again? how are these typically held together (adhesive, welds) if at all?

UPDATE

I got impatient and took some photos

Its pretty obvious what the problem is. There are two metal clamps holding the front pipe inside the second one. One of those clamps broke and the pipes shook loose.

So now my question is, how easy is this to fix? Do I just need a new clamp to install?

UPDATE

Okay, so the clamp isn't just the metal rings, its a metal clamshell held together with rings. Is this the part I need?
