Anyone who has received an MPA or MPP degree - how has it shaped your career? (x-post from r/AskReddit)
MPA = Master's in Public Administration (for practical purposes, MPA will refer to both)

MPP = Master's in Public Policy
I've got one year of undergraduate schooling left, and I'm heavily considering heading towards an MPA afterwards, but I want to hear about some real experiences. I tried the Google machine and it hasn't been very helpful. A few questions I have aside from the title question:
Where did you obtain your university-level or higher degrees, and which degrees were they?
What made you choose an MPA degree over other graduate programs?
What is your current job and/or past jobs? (How has having an MPA shaped your career?)
Do you regret obtaining an MPA, or are you glad you did so?
Would you recommend an MPA to others? Any extra advice?
I don't want to overwhelm with questions, so I'll ask more if there's any response to this. Feel free to answer anywhere from zero to all questions. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
