Uni in Barcelona

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to go to uni in Barcelona, yay or nay? To elaborate a bit more, here's my situation:

• wanted to go to uni in UK for as long as I can remember, but now as I realized weather's always crap there + expensive as hell nowadays, it's a no-go

• looked around for alternatives, thought of Amsterdam, heard most good things, then thought about Barcelona, and after looking into it a bit more I have to say I would really love to study there; don't get me wrong, I'm not just looking to party 24/7 so I will learn my shit, but I just want to do it in a more pleasant environment , and going to beach every day before / after class sounds awesome ( rather than going to Germany for instance, where social life is pretty much non existent for foreigners from what I've heard )

• I work as a freelance web designer / developer, so I will be able to generate around 1000$ income / month while not half-assing school

• some other details I can think of: I don't really know spanish but would be willing to learn, so studies need to be in english; will have about $10k savings by the time I graduate;

• my questions, ultimately, are: How expensive would it be to study there? Do I have any chance to get a scholarship, or should I just forget about it? Ultimately, how's life in Barcelona for students now with the financial crisis and all that?
