I'm being completely serious here. Did anyone become an atheist after smoking weed?

Sorry that this might hurt our reputation as a respectable subreddit (lawl zomg no one likes us).

Obviously it wasn't the first time but somewhere down the line those sticky ickies made thinking about things I didn't want to think about almost impossible not to think about. I sure hope that sentence made sense. So ya, I think through weed I was finally able to question god's existence despite the fear of hell.

Smoking finally made me question everything in my life that I took for fact. I started to doubt my career choices and who I wanted to consider my friends. It's not that it really gave me more insight or anything but weed helped me finally start questioning these things. And every time I felt scared of my life or the future I would easily find comfort in my usual mental comfort zones. E.g. My family, very good friends, and video games. Until slowly, one by one I started to etch down each one until I couldn't find enough comfort from those then eventually, I got to the biggest comfort zone imaginable: heaven. I started to doubt it's possibility because none of my safety zones felt safe anymore.

Weed made me doubt my long held beliefs and be fearful of being wrong. Which is was a phase I'm no longer going through and now I just question without the fear. Now I'm so happy I smoked. I feel so sure that I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for weed and it's fun allure. It had me scared for my life for a bit but every formerly religious person has gotten there one way or another. And not just former religious people I'm sure. Everybody has had a scary disillusionment of some sort in their life, weed just made it much more dramatic yet fun.

Weed may have just made all of that much more fun and exciting for me. Or maybe it was a coincidence. Who knows? Maybe I didn't need it to enjoy my scary mental journey. Either way, every time I smoke I feel so happy just thinking about the fact that I'm an atheist now and I don't have to feel any more guilt from a man who's constantly judging me for committing victimless sins.

And best of all I've learned to love to question. It used to scare me but now it doesn't.

TL;DR I'm a weed smoking college student on r/atheism. Woh that's crazy that like never happens so lets like talk about it.

EDIT: Haha, I don't think smoking was a cure for religion. I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience they would like to share.
