If my bf is laying on the couch with one of his close female friends is that cuddling

my bf and I are in a LDR. I've seen it in a few photos where he lays on her couch or they always sit together. He sees his close female friend where he will lay on her couch and she will wrap her arm around his leg or arm but he says its not cuddling because he doesn't wrap his arms around her or caress her or anything like he does with me. He gets mad because ive questioned their friendship before and he says he hates how those "little things" bother me. Am I thinking way too much into this?
