Alt-F4'ers

So this isnt meant as a QQ thread, more of a discussion.

Was sitting in a server. Saw a guy get over run. Asked if he needed help. He didnt reply. Saw the zombies leave the building and shamble every where else. Ask in chat again if he needs a hand. Nothing. So watch this cycle a few more min. The zombies running into the house then walking out.

So screw it I start to leave the area after the last time I watched them all go. Offering one last time if any one needed the help.

I get around a corner and this ass spawns is behind me, laughs over chat then opens up on me.

I respawn and go back to see wtf just happened. And what do I see. Him being on one end of the town to the other within 30 sec or so (porting). So its fairly easy to see the guy is d/cing or hacking.

So my question is this. Because I seriously hate the idea of killing on site. Is their any other way to deal with these players so I dont have to come off as the bandit to some poor guy that needs help? I get its a survival game and the risks involved Im just interested to see other players POV.
