I was on the front page in my city's local newspaper for posting an ad on CraigsList asking people meet up at a traffic circle on my street to smoke weed on 4/20/2010!

Background Story

.

I was bored one 4/17/2010 afternoon and decided to post on Craigslist in the Rants and Raves section to see if I could get people to meet up with me and celebrate 4/20.

On 4/18/2010, a writer for the Press Democrat calls me up and says he want's to put me in the newspaper because of how nonchalant I was about asking people to meet up and smoke weed in public.

Of course I was excited! So I told him I was definitely interested in whatever I needed to do: just a short, over the phone interview and then to meet up the following day to take some pictures.

On 4/19/2010, I ask some of my friends if they wanted to be in the newspaper and they agreed, but they said: can we smoke weed? I said: why actually yes: the writer said that if we wanted to smoke weed and if any of the pictures they choose had any discriminating evidence in it, that we would be pardoned and would not be able to be charged.

.

You could only imagine the look on their faces and how awesome I felt ;')

So we meet up with the writer, smoke some weed and take some pictures.

.

I ask the guy: do you know which part of the paper this is going to be in? He says he has no idea, but that it's the newspaper and lots of people will see it any ways.

.

Come 4/20, I wake up at 6am, run down to the closest store that sells newspapers, and you'll never be able to appreciate the look I had on my face when I saw ON THE FRONT PAGE: ME AND MY FRIENDS, 1 who was on the phone trying to pick up a sack, one who was packing a bowl, and the 3rd all the way to the left: just took a hit and was satisfied.

Come 1:00, I get a call from my mom: Did you hear on the radio that some kid posted on craigslist to meet up and smoke weed? All I replied was: that was me mother. She flipped a bitch for like 10 minutes, then said: He wants to talk to you, you should call in at 4:20.

.

So I did, come 3:50, no one is at the circle, 3:58, I get on the phone and wait while the guy on 1350 KSRO was finishing up an interview, 4:21 I went live, only like 5 people showed up.

.

What was amazing is that I turn around for 3 minutes so I could talk and hear him, finish up the live interview, turn around AND THERE WERE 70 PEOPLE IN THE TRAFFIC CIRCLE (being safe a cautious of the drivers) and TONS of cars were driving by, most were smoking, and honking saying: YEAHH!! YOU GO MAN!!

So from 4:24 - 5:20, a total of 80 people were smoking weed, in public, no cops showed up, no neighbors were against what we were doing, cause I told them I would clean up ANY mess that was left over, some guy took my autograph, and I was soo blazed, I thought I was dreaming.

The most amazing day of my life.
