Question regarding no poo, curly hair, products, and hair dye. Help!

So! I've always had curly hair since I was born but I've always been brushing and straightening and all that jazz to 'tame' my hair. Anyway, I'm sick of the frizz and the chaos of it and decided to try no-poo (baking soda and apple cider vinegar style). I've also embraced some of the Curly Girl methods (drying and not brushing).

My hair has had it's third wash and it's still gross. I'm not surprised by this, but how exactly should it be feeling? I know it's supposed to be...not good, but what kind of not good?

Also, once my hair finally transitions to the no-poo, what kind of products can I still use? Also, if I straighten it randomly, will it completely throw off my curls and I'll have to baby them again? If my hair continues to be dry and frizzy after it's transitioned to no-poo, can I use treatments on it for dryness?

Finally, what about hair dye? I've been getting my hair dyed platinum blond for a while and my roots are due soon. Can my salon dye my hair and then not shampoo or condition it and I'll do it later when I get home? Or will the dye not be able to be completely washed out with my no-poo methods?

Thanks to anyone that can help me with any of my questions.
